Ayobami Aranmolate Rasheed (born June 16, 1977) is a Nigerian plastic surgeon, burn consultant, and the Chief Medical Director of Grandville Medical and Laser Clinics. He is widely known for his expertise in plastic and reconstructive surgery, he is also the host of the medical reality television show "Dr. Laser’s Diary" on African Magic Showcase.

He is a Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons and also a Fellow of the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine

Early life and education

Rasheed was born in Lagos, Nigeria, into a family of seven boys and hails from Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State. He attended Oroku Nursery and Primary School in Ebute-Metta, Lagos, and Ondo State Government College, Usi Ekiti, graduating in 1995.

He studied medicine at the University of Lagos from 1997 to 2004, where he earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery. Rasheed was a National Chevron University Scholar from 1998 to 2004. He completed his postgraduate training in Burns, Plastic, and Reconstructive Surgery at the National Orthopedic Hospital, Igbobi, Lagos.

Career

Rasheed began his medical career during his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) at Igede Central Primary Healthcare Centre, Benue State. He later worked at University College Hospital, Ibadan, and the National Orthopedic Hospital, Enugu.

In 2013, Rasheed founded Grandville Medical and Laser Clinics in Surulere, Lagos. Over the years, the clinic expanded to locations in Lekki and Maitama, Abuja. In 2024, Rasheed announced plans to open clinics in all six geopolitical zones of Nigeria, aiming to address medical brain drain and promote access to quality healthcare within the country.

He gained public attention in 2018 after performing a successful cosmetic surgery for Nollywood actress Tonto Dike, who publicly praised his work. Since then, he has enjoyed patronage from female socialites seeking Brazilian Butt Lifts (BBL), liposuction, breast enhancement and other cosmetic procedures.

Personal Life

Rasheed is married to Funmilayo Aranmolate, and they have two children. In his free time, he spends time with his family.
