The bridge was built in the 1960s using long reinforced concrete, it suits 2 lanes of traffic and connects the two rural communities of Aguiarnopolis and Estreito. This bridge was not of importance until it partially collapsed, killing 11 people, with 6 still unknown but presumed dead.
