Kate Alexandra Dearden is a British Labour and Co-operative politician who has served as Member of Parliament for Halifax since 2024.
Parliamentary career
Dearden is a trade unionist. She attempted to stand in the 2022 Wakefield by-election but was not selected.
Dearden was appointed Assistant Whip, House of Commons on 18 July 2024.
In November 2024, Dearden voted in favour of the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill, which proposes to legalise assisted suicide.
