Kota Takai (高井 幸大, Takai Kota, born 4 September 2004) is a Japanese professional footballer who plays as a centre back for J1 League club Kawasaki Frontale and the Japan national team.
Club career
Takai was promoted to the Kawasaki Frontale first team ahead of the 2022 season. He made his debut in a 8–0 win over Guangzhou.
International career
Takai made his debut for Japan national team on 5 September 2024 in a World Cup qualifier against China at the Saitama Stadium 2002. He substituted Ko Itakura in the 71st minute of Japan's 7–0 victory.
