Only six teams in this season's competition?? Unless the rules have been changed (or a special exemption granted), I thought that a national top-tier league had to contain at least seven/eight teams, to be eligible for UCL and UEL participation the following season. The Gibraltar Premier League used to have six teams before they joined UEFA, then expanded to eight (then ten) teams, to reach minimum standards. Chris0282 (talk) 20:05, 22 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, there has been rumours about the need for eight teams, but also some has said that is not the case. So far I have not been able to see any rules from UEFA in their rulebooks saying that 8 teams is needed. Also the rulebook for this armenian season is in a language I am not able to understand. The only time I have seen anything about needing a certain number of teams is when Gibraltar was accepted into UEFA. They had to raise the number of teams in the league from six in order to qualify the following season. I would like to see a statement from UEFA on Armenia, but I do not expect one. It is odd that 67% of the league will qualify for European competition next season. Equineducklings (talk) 23:18, 5 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
