1. Well-written
- Sweden's Sarah Sjöström was the favourite going into the event, and set a new Olympic record of 23.66 seconds in the semifinal to qualify as top seed. Remove the comma after "event" and add "as the top seed".
- 10 heats took place on 3 August 2024, starting at 11:00. Either write out "Ten" or re-write the sentence so it doesn't start with a number.
- Add a comma before "respectively" each time it is used.
- Sarah Sjöström had the fastest reaction time of 0.61 seconds, but stated after the race... Remove the comma after "seconds".
2. Verifiable
Passes Earwig's. Spot check: 2, 8, 13, and 22 are fine.
- ...becoming the first Slovenian Olympic finalist since Sara Isakovič in 2008. The references say she's the first female Slovenian Olympic finalist. I would also add this is just for swimming, not in general.
- Sjöström and Harris retained these positions over the last five metres, finishing in first and second respectively. This doesn't seem to be supported by the reference provided.
- I cut "retained these positions over the last five metres". I believe this was technically original research, though it is very unlikely Harris overtook and then was overtaken by Sjöström again. IAWW (talk) 10:31, 31 January 2025 (UTC)
3. Broad
- Simone Manuel from the United States did not qualify for the semifinals. I would add that she was the American record holder (as indicated by the source) or a former medalist in the event to point out why this was significant.
- I think Ribera's disqualification is somewhat significant and a sentence or two about that could be added to the Heats section.
4. Neutral
The article is neutral.
5. Stable
The article is stable day-to-day.
6. Illustrated
N/A since there's no images.
Hi @It is a wonderful world: I've completed my review and left my suggestions in the bullet points. -Riley1012 (talk) 01:48, 31 January 2025 (UTC)
- Hi @Riley1012, thank you very much for your review. I have addressed all points as suggested. IAWW (talk) 10:29, 31 January 2025 (UTC)
- Okay, I also found a source that Klančar was the first Slovenian Olympic swimming finalist since 08, not just the first female, so I added that in. Everything is good to go now! -Riley1012 (talk) 12:24, 31 January 2025 (UTC)
