The result was keep. Consensus seems to agree that the subject meets the basic criteria for notability. (non-admin closure) Coolperson177 (talk) 12:46, 11 September 2021 (UTC)

BLP of a student leader; not clear whether there is enough in the sources to make her wiki-notable. Mccapra (talk) 16:49, 12 August 2021 (UTC)

- Delete Does not appear to met GNG. Seacactus 13 (talk) 20:18, 12 August 2021 (UTC)
- Weak keep: We already have sources from the Hindustani Times, Indian Express, and Business Standard India. There is also an article in the Daily Mail, so I think this passes GNG. There's also an interview in the Deccan Chronicle but that doesn't count. Furius (talk) 13:01, 13 August 2021 (UTC)
- Delete, there is some coverage but this is a student leader and the coverage doesn't reach SIGCOV.--Hippeus (talk) 13:33, 13 August 2021 (UTC)
- I don't think the fact that she's a student leader is relevant to notability either way? AISF is an organisation with several million members, so only the question of whether there is sufficient coverage seems to be material (and I admit that this is questionable). Furius (talk) 15:32, 13 August 2021 (UTC)
- Keep per Furius - it seems like she's received significant coverage. I can also find things like: For Aparajitha, lineage alone won’t seal victory, 'Some slogans were juvenile and senseless, but had context', Q&A: 'When politics decides your future, decide what your politics is', JNU Sedition Row Serves Right-Wing Govt’s Agenda: Aparajitha Raja, JNU row accused Umar Khalid, D Raja's daughter were provided hostel rooms against University norms?, ABVP accuses Left-leaning students of JNU violence, Slapped with fresh fines, 14 JNU students defiant, etc... - Hesitant keep. The four sources currently in the article provide non-trivial coverage. More detailed biographical material would be ideal, but this is coverage in national newspapers focused on the individual in question, so I think it qualifies. Vanamonde (Talk) 13:12, 27 August 2021 (UTC)
- Keep, the coverage she has received in the sources listed above, is more than enough to satisfy WP:BASIC if not WP:GNG. I don't see why we should apply a higher standard here. Tayi Arajakate Talk 04:53, 29 August 2021 (UTC)
- Draftify: It's WP: TOO SOON and fails WP:BASIC with the sources provided. With only mentions or direct quotes, neither the page sources nor the ones earlier in this discussion provide enough in-depth coverage to pass WP:SIGCOV. Rather, the events/incidents Raja has been involved in are covered in-depth. Daily Mail is a deprecated source by the way. Heartmusic678 (talk) 17:33, 30 August 2021 (UTC)
- Keep, as per Vanamonde. MrsSnoozyTurtle 09:08, 1 September 2021 (UTC)

Relisting comment: Relisting. More discussion needed about whether the articles meets WP:BASIC/WP:GNG or is WP:TOOSOON

- Keep per WP:BASIC; this 2010 Hindustan Times/PTI article, D Raja's daughter to contest elections for DUSU president includes biographical and education background; the 2016 Deccan Chronicle interview Q&A: 'When politics decides your future, decide what your politics is' includes WP:SECONDARY context from the interviewer, and this 2016 interview from the Business Standard adds more: Aparajitha Raja is in the eye of a 'patriotic' storm; this 2019 interview with The Quint, JNU Sedition Row Serves Right-Wing Govt’s Agenda: Aparajitha Raja includes some commentary and context, and this 2019 Indian Express article, JNU sedition case: Court to consider chargesheet against Kanhaiya, others on January 19 and this ABP/PTI article JNU sedition case: Court questions Delhi Police for filing chargesheet without procuring requisite sanctions include more than trivial mentions and additionally support her WP:BASIC notability. There has been WP:SUSTAINED coverage from independent and reliable sources and the article can be further developed. Beccaynr (talk) 04:49, 7 September 2021 (UTC)
- Keep agree per WP:BASIC by Beccaynr. 117.18.230.34 (talk) 05:18, 9 September 2021 (UTC)
