- The result of the discussion was: rename to Category:Presidential chiefs of staff (Philippines). ✗plicit 03:10, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
- Propose renaming Category:Chiefs of Staff of the Philippines to Category:Malacañang Chiefs of Staff
- Nominator's rationale: Parent article has been renamed. Howard the Duck (talk) 20:11, 25 January 2022 (UTC)
- Rename but to Category:Presidential chiefs of staff (Philippines); also the article. In my country (UK), journalists will refer to "Downing Street" when they do not want to refer directly to the Prime Minister; similarly in USA, White House for President. Here the name of the Presidential Palace is being used, but that will be obscure to most of the world, who do not know the name of the palace. Peterkingiron (talk) 18:20, 30 January 2022 (UTC)
- Alt Rename to Category:Presidential chiefs of staff (Philippines) per Peterkingiron; also the article. If one depends on the other CfD has to wait. --Just N. (talk) 18:55, 31 January 2022 (UTC)
- The article is at Malacañang Chief of Staff, however. Marcocapelle (talk) 06:51, 1 February 2022 (UTC)
- Rename per nom (or hold if someone would initiate an RM for the article). Marcocapelle (talk) 06:51, 1 February 2022 (UTC)
- WP:NATDIS prefers the article name as it is currently titled (compare to "Presidential chief of staff (Philippines)", "Chief of staff of the president of the Philippines" or other similar naming schemes.) Now, I dunno if there's a policy where the category should be named exactly in the same way as its parent article (disregarding pluralization). Howard the Duck (talk) 19:31, 4 February 2022 (UTC)
- Naming the category the same as the article is (under certain conditions) a reason for speedy renaming, see WP:C2D. Marcocapelle (talk) 08:40, 5 February 2022 (UTC)

- Alt Rename to Category:Presidential chiefs of staff (Philippines) per Peterkingiron as that will be of most use to most readers. – Fayenatic London 22:21, 6 March 2022 (UTC)

- Propose merging Category:Dhofar S.C.S.C. managers to Category:Dhofar Club managers
- Nominator's rationale: This is the same category as Category:Dhofar Club managers, and the other category has the correct name because it is the one with the current main article name. Paul Vaurie (talk) 18:13, 25 January 2022 (UTC)

- Nominator's rationale: This is an empty category which is a duplicate of Category:Lincoln Giants players. "New York Lincoln Giants" is simply an alternate name for the Lincoln Giants. Dennis C. Abrams (talk) 13:54, 25 January 2022 (UTC)
- Comment This is an empty category. Next time, just tag it CSD C1. It doesn't need a week long discussion. Liz Read! Talk! 01:07, 26 January 2022 (UTC)

- The result of the discussion was: rename. – Fayenatic London 21:11, 6 March 2022 (UTC)
- Propose renaming Category:Curaçao scholars and academics to Category:Curaçao academics
- Nominator's rationale: Only content is University of Curaçao faculty Rathfelder (talk) 12:30, 25 January 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose. a) for consistency with the rest of Category:Scholars and academics by nationality; b) because there is no benefit in narrowing the scope. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 13:10, 25 January 2022 (UTC)
- There are only 9 nationalities in Category:Scholars and academics by nationality. There are 182 in Category:Academics by nationality. Rathfelder (talk) 22:30, 25 January 2022 (UTC)
- Rename per extended rationale of nom. Marcocapelle (talk) 20:47, 26 January 2022 (UTC)
- The point of Category:Scholars and academics by nationality is for the small number of countries where the two are mixed up, which doesnt seem to be the case in Curaçao. Otherwise it divides into Category:Academics by nationality and Category:Scholars by nationality. Rathfelder (talk) 17:23, 6 February 2022 (UTC)

- Nominator's rationale: merge, redundant category layer with one article and one subcategory. Marcocapelle (talk) 04:39, 25 January 2022 (UTC)
- Merge, per nom. No sense in having the extra layer. --- ke4roh (talk) 00:48, 28 January 2022 (UTC)
