Propose merging Category:18th-century Belgian scientists to Category:Scientists of the Austrian Netherlands

Rathfelder Why Austrian Netherlands and not Duchy of Brabant or Habsburg Monarchy? And why Austrian Netherlands encompass entire 18th century if it existed only in years 1714-1797? Oppose There is the Category:Belgian people (before 1830). Seems as though it is valid to use the adjective Belgian before Belgium was a state. After all, the word Belgian did not appear in a vacuum.--Cukrakalnis (talk) 14:37, 7 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, Marcocapelle, and you answered me a day before I came to announce that the category has been emptied. I am typically strongly against doing this before a CFD discussion closure (and especially when an editor nominates categories at CFD and at the same time empties them! Comment, the category scope might be expanded and the category renamed to Category:Glock, in that case we can have four articles (see the "See also" section in Glock).
