- I have modified the lead section to fit the criteria of a featured article Jorge906 (talk) 20:52, 2 February 2025 (UTC)
Oppose I have only taken a very quick look at the article, but I have nevertheless spotted several unsourced statements including a number of wholly-unsourced paragraphs ("On November 16, 1935 [...] leaving her devastated.", "Garland's first feature-length film [...] three solos, including "The Texas Tornado" and "The Balboa".", "On August 28, 1963 [....] march on the nation's capital."). Suggest withdrawal. In addition to areas lacking sourcing as TD notes, there is also inconsistent citation formatting, copyediting needed, and images missing evidence of copyright status. Suggest taking to WP:GOCE and then either PR or GAN. Nikkimaria (talk) 01:23, 3 February 2025 (UTC)
- Closing note: This candidate has been archived, but there may be a delay in bot processing of the close. Please see WP:FAC/ar, and leave the {{featured article candidates}} template in place on the talk page until the bot goes through. Ian Rose (talk) 10:57, 3 February 2025 (UTC)
