Evidence submitted by Big Bird
Articles being edited by IP were previously edited by Bosniak with similar edits being made:
- Changing ethnicity of Sokollu Mehmed Paşa from Serbian to Bosniak (Bosniak:[1]; IP:[2], [3])
- In the article Jasenovac concentration camp adding the exact same paragraph regarding United States Holocaust Memorial Museum's number of deaths (Bosniak:[4]; IP:[5])
- On at least 2 occasions ([6], [7]) the IP has placed a link to the Srebrenica Genocide Blog. The person operating the blog and the person operating the Wikipedia user account Bosniak are the same person as admitted by Bosniak on his user page (an admin can verify this by looking into deleted revisions of his user page).
If it counts for anything, a quick check of Bosniak's block log shows he's circumvented his block before and this edit after being indeffed shows no intention of abiding by the community's decision. Big Bird (talk • contribs) 12:49, 10 September 2010 (UTC)
Additional note: 24.82.187.116 (talk · contribs · WHOIS) is an IP with similar WHOIS information who was blocked by User:Ckatz in July under suspicion of being Bosniak. The IP seems to be dynamic, a range block might be useful in such a case. Big Bird (talk • contribs) 14:46, 10 September 2010 (UTC)

- Pardon my ignorance, what does "stale" mean in relation to declining a checkuser request? Big Bird (talk • contribs) 16:00, 10 September 2010 (UTC)
- As the last edit from Bosniak was in January, there will be no CheckUser data left on the database. CheckUser data for an editor is only available for ~90 days after the last action before it gets wiped. Best, PeterSymonds (talk) 16:01, 10 September 2010 (UTC)
- Both this and the previous sock IP are from the Vancouver area. This IP has made edits which are identical in some cases to those of Bosniak. I have blocked the IP for six months. The main account, Bosniak, is still under indef block, so the edits by this IP are block evasion. The two IPs he has used are so far apart that a rangeblock wouldn't be practical. Clerk note: IP already blocked. Nothing much left to do here. Marking for close. Elockid (Alternate) (Talk) 15:34, 13 September 2010 (UTC)

IP 90.230.54.125, who later created MarcRey, has said he has a "previous editing history on Wikipedia stretching 7 years" and has been "inactive for 1 year". Give or take a year, these statements largely coincide with the amount of time user Bosniak's account was in existence and the amount of time that has passed since he was blocked. In addition to this the user pushes the same POV and arguments that user Bosniak did - the Bosnian war and Srebrenica regardless of what topic is at hand [8]. ◅PRODUCER (TALK) 09:55, 11 January 2012 (UTC)

"Give or take a year" is quite a large span of time. Can you provide more concrete evidence (diffs, etc.) that this account is, in fact, Bosniak and not another user with similar interests? TNXMan 14:36, 11 January 2012 (UTC)
- No response in 24 hours, so I'll mark for close. If there is more evidence to be presented, please feel free to refile. TNXMan 16:43, 12 January 2012 (UTC)
