Interest of the translation: Finnish historian, studied history of Sami people. Mentioned in Amanita muscaria article, which is being upgraded to feature article status, but with no English-language article on this person.
Interest of the translation: Notable student union, especially as it has several billion (yes, billion) euros in assets managed by the HYY Group, which may merit a separate article. I assume it is the wealthiest student society in the world.
Interest of the translation: The article discusses the comic strips Tove Jansson wrote and drew together with her brotther Lars, and we don't have mush material on those at the moment. We're looking at breaking an article out of Tove Jansson to discuss them, as they are now being published in an English language version, and there are discrepancies over how many volumes there are in each language's versions. Translating this would help us create the article and better inform readers and reflect the international scope of Jansson's work.
Interest of the translation: A detailed article in Finnish to cover an island district completely missing from the English wikipedia and to get rid of red links
Comment: There has been some confusion with Suomen Neito, which currently seems to list Miss Finland titleholders, while it apparently is an entirely different contest. --Para21:07, 6 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Interest of the translation: Rather unbelievable that this hasn't made it into the English wikipedia yet!
Interest of the translation: The user who requested the translation has a song by this band. It seems the band only has songs in the Finnish language. Maybe this is a rare thing.
Comment: I normally translate these to English myself but this particular article has an absolutely huge amount of text. I am more interested in covering the entire railway network than elaborating on any particular station.
Interest of the translation: This is an important railway station in Finland as it forms a crossing point between the cities of Tampere and Jyväskylä and Seinäjoki railway station, another important crossing point station.
