This is a collection of discussions on the deletion of articles related to Ukraine. It is one of many deletion lists coordinated by WikiProject Deletion sorting. Anyone can help maintain the list on this page.
- Adding a new AfD discussion
- Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:
- Edit this page and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
- You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|Ukraine|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.
- There are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.
- Removing a closed AfD discussion
- Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.
- Other types of discussions
- You can also add and remove other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to Ukraine. For the other XfD's, the process is the same as AfD (except {{Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/PageName}} is used for MFD and {{transclude xfd}} for the rest). For PRODs, adding a link with {{prodded}} will suffice.
- Further information
- For further information see Wikipedia's deletion policy and WP:AfD for general information about Articles for Deletion, including a list of article deletions sorted by day of nomination.
This list is also part of the larger list of deletion debates related to Europe.

In searches in both English and Ukrainian, almost literally nothing at all has come up—hardly even databases. Maybe I am missing something, but this player/manager appears to fail WP:SIGCOV and WP:GNG. Anwegmann (talk) 02:01, 30 January 2025 (UTC)

- Delete - no evidence of notability. If sources are found which show significant coverage please ping me. GiantSnowman 18:20, 30 January 2025 (UTC)
- Delete - I don't think you've missed anything at all. The sport.ua interview is the only source that appears to be even slightly decent, with nothing of note found in Ukrainian searches. It's quite remarkable that this has sat in mainspace without being challenged since 2022. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 12:33, 1 February 2025 (UTC)

Fails WP:NBIO and WP:GNG. Only sources in article are Navi.gg, ESL, (both of which are not independent of the subject), and HLTV (unreliable per WP:VGRS). A WP:BEFORE search does not find anything of substance either. – Pbrks (t·c) 14:29, 27 January 2025 (UTC)

- Did you search Ukrainian language sources? The player is Ukrainian, Counter-strike is pretty big there, so I'd be surprised if there's wasn't some level of coverage since he's been on the roster of two-major winning rosters. ---- Patar knight - chat/contributions 02:18, 28 January 2025 (UTC)

Fails WP:GNG. I tried to do WP:before, but I don't see any sources that talk about him at all in detail and per Wikipedia:LUGSTUBS . 🍕BP!🍕 (🔔) 23:05, 26 January 2025 (UTC)

- Keep per SIGCOV at San Jose Ahora, which has ~260 words of coverage on him decades after his death and notes that in addition to his cycling successes (he won numerous national championships) he also was the father of kart racing in Uruguay, designing the first kart track in South America. For a three-time Olympian, three-time Pan American Games medalist and multi-time national champion who's still remembered today as "the pride of San José sports," it is virtually guaranteed that there will be further coverage in newspapers of the time. BeanieFan11 (talk) 17:24, 27 January 2025 (UTC)
- Comment LUGSTUBS is a link to an RfC. Not a deletion rationale. ~WikiOriginal-9~ (talk) 18:17, 27 January 2025 (UTC)
- Keep - per SIGCOV as mentioned above. Won National championships. WP:GNG should apply.BabbaQ (talk) 17:12, 31 January 2025 (UTC)
- Keep. Not because of national championships, which are neither here nor there, but because he does seem to meet WP:SPORTCRIT per above. Geschichte (talk) 07:28, 1 February 2025 (UTC)
- Taras Kostyuk (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View AfD | edits since nomination)
- (Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL)
Fails WP:NACTOR due to lack of "significant roles in multiple, notable" productions. Most of the credits are unnamed, one-off supporting characters (e.g. "Thug #1" in an episode of Andromeda). All external links except IMDb are dead. It's difficult to find out much at all about this actor, because reliable sources with significant coverage don't appear to exist. - Delete: Very much non-notable actor. "Security Man" and "Another Guard" are just not what we need. I can't find any sourcing for this person. Oaktree b (talk) 23:35, 20 January 2025 (UTC)
- Comment His most significant roles seem to have been Sasquatch in the film of the same name, also released as The Untold (TV listings said "Tara Kostyuk had the thankless task of playing Sasquatch" [1]), and Red Seven in two episodes of Dark Angel (he's listed as Guest Cast in this Encyclopedia of superheroes on film and television). This Ukrainian Phrasebook, Dictionary, Menu Guide & Interactive Factbook ebook (on Ebookit.com, so presumably self-published) has as an example sentence for the word 'stunt': "When it comes to movie stunts, Ukrainian-Canadian Taras Kostyuk has performed many of them , some quite dangerous , in his 40 movies." The external link kinofilms.ua lists 4 movies/series in 2015 + 2016 that are not in the WP article, but his roles in those also seem to be the kind that's listed as 'priest', 'long-haired thug', etc. RebeccaGreen (talk) 08:52, 23 January 2025 (UTC)
- Comment I'm leaning towards weak keep and to rework the page as the actor may be notable. 2001:A61:25EB:5701:CC85:6C3B:4189:8DC7 (talk) 09:29, 27 January 2025 (UTC)
- I think we should also list him as deceased(was) since he hasn't appeared in a movie since c.2024(the year of his alleged death) 72.2.243.103 (talk) 23:34, 30 January 2025 (UTC)
- It is also possible that his role in a 2025 show was made posthumously 72.2.243.103 (talk) 23:35, 30 January 2025 (UTC)
